Peter Irlenborn reports from the 50th anniversary of the Gullwing Group Meeting ( including a perfectionist recreation of the  - 1952 prototype) . This is the same location as exactly 50 years ago. Some of the same cars were here Saturday June 11, 2011, AND only one member (still very much alive and Running! check!) who was here that fateful day 50 years ago.  Imagine having a Gullwing at age 19 in the Bay Area some 5 decades ago when there was little traffic on the freeways!
