1952 Bentley Mark VI Special

This well proportioned MKVI Special was built to a high standard between 2002 and 2004. Attractively finished in dark blue with blue leather upholstery the Bentley rides on colour-coded steel wheels. In what was a 'no expense spared' exercise, the engine and radiator were moved back in the chassis by a leading marque specialist (an alteration which not only enhanced the Special's looks but also its weight distribution). While, the king pins, shackle pins and brake system etc. all received attention too.

The car's 'big bore' 4566cc straight-six engine has been re-enamelled and is very well presented. Though, underneath the deep lustre of its rocker cover, the unit has been fitted with new pistons, liners, bearings, valve guides and rocker bushes, not to mention a balanced crankshaft. Meanwhile, sensible upgrades have included the addition of overdrive to the four-speed manual gearbox and a stainless-steel exhaust system.

The new body has been fabricated to a demanding brief with louvres to the engine compartment and flowing wings which blend beautifully into the full length running boards. A small luggage rack sits neatly behind the mohair hood but does not obscure the rear-mounted spare wheel. The interior has been beautifully trimmed in navy blue leather and carpeted in royal blue wilton careting. Indeed, the dashboard is one of the most attractive we have seen on a MKVI Special. All chromework has been renewed as necessary.

The car has covered less then 10,000 miles since completion and the quality of its construction was rewarded in 2005 when it was placed first-in-class at a Bentley Driver's Club concours.

Currently Danish registered & EEC taxes paid, we can rergister it in the UK if required. This is a really really well sorted Bentley Special & is in parfect running condition & ready for extended touring.

We will be properly photographing it in the new year & also doing a full service upon it so it is absolutley ready to go.
