Reviving the “Long Tail” nomenclature made famous by the legendary McLaren F1 GTR, the 765LT was unveiled in March 2020 as a track-focused version of the critically acclaimed McLaren 720S. Borrowing numerous performance parts from the ultra-focused Senna, the twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V-8 was pushed to deliver an eyewatering 755 brake horsepower.
Numbered “371” from the limited-production run of just 765 coupés, the example offered here was ordered by the vendor in October 2020. Their bespoke and extensive configuration was headlined by the McLaren Special Operations department’s Supernova Silver paintwork, The sleek colourway is accented by an optional satin finish for the carbon fibre exterior components and dark ultra-lightweight 10-spoke forged alloy wheels, which sit ahead of Nardo Orange brake callipers featuring the McLaren logo machined in Silver.
The detailed specification further added a carbon fibre plinth for the front numberplate, plus a carbon fibre front air intake, rear diffuser, and side sills as part of the Carbon Fibre Exterior Package. The 765LT was further selected with the Senna-specification Track Brake Package and Stealth Pack, which darkened the exhaust pipe finishers and mechanism for the active rear wing.
Trimmed in Carbon Black Alcantara with contrasting McLaren Orange stitching, the interior was no less thoughtfully appointed. The inertia-reel seatbelts and six-point race-style harnesses were ordered in Orange, while a dose of practicality came in the form of covered door bins and a centre tunnel with lockable storage. The infotainment system grants access to the 360-degree parking assist and McLaren Track Telemetry package, which allows the driver to record and analyse their hot laps. All told, the 765LT was configured with almost £130,000 in optional extras.
Delivered to its single owner in the United Kingdom via McLaren Ascot in January 2021, the 765LT has been retained as part of a collection, never used on track, and sparingly driven throughout its life. Accordingly, it displayed a mere 663 miles on its odometer at the time of cataloguing. The car heads to The Woodcote Park Auction benefitting from a fresh June 2026 service completed by its supplying dealership.
