The Porsche 944 Turbo remains one of the most accomplished and usable performance cars of the 1980s. Combining handsome styling with Porsche's near-perfect transaxle weight distribution, sharp handling and a turbocharged 2.5 litre four-cylinder engine, the 944 Turbo earned a reputation as one of the finest driver's cars of its generation. Capable of effortless long-distance touring yet equally rewarding on a challenging road, it continues to offer exceptional value amongst classic Porsches.
Finished in the highly desirable Silver Rose metallic, this example is complemented by the distinctive burgundy pinstripe cloth interior synonymous with the period. Whilst there is some wear to the driver's seat base, replacement cloth is supplied with the car, allowing the next owner to restore it if desired. Enhancing its appearance further is a set of Turbo S alloy wheels, which perfectly suit the car's purposeful stance.
Purchased by our vendor from its long-term owner in January 2025, this 944 Turbo has covered approximately 175,000 miles during a lifetime of regular use. Importantly, it has never been allowed to deteriorate through inactivity and today presents in remarkably good mechanical and cosmetic order, it could easily pass as a car with half the mileage.
Accompanying the car is its original dealer book pack, original PDI documentation and service book containing an impressive 26 service stamps, testament to decades of diligent maintenance. More recently, the timing belts have been replaced and the car has benefited from servicing and maintenance totalling approximately £2,700 within the last 500 miles. Offered with an MoT test certificate valid until April 2027, this is a well-maintained and honest example of one of Porsche's most engaging modern classics, ready to be enjoyed by its next custodian.
