A 1948 Austin from Juan and Evita Perón

At times we receive some very interesting pictures, but are unable to do something with them. Take for instance this picture of a kid in an Austin pedal car. It was sent us by Jorge Pancho, who left no return email-address, but we presume he comes from Argentina. He wrote a text in Spanish, translated it in English using an (obscure?) computer program and then sent us the almost incomprehensible text. We were able to digest that this is not just any pedal car, but that in 1948 this Austin A40 belonged to Evita and Juan Perón, first lady and president of Argentina. The pedal car was probably a gift from Austin, just as they had given one to Prince Charles in 1952. This 1948 Austin (with serial number 8626) is still in very good shape and has been in Jorge’s ownership for more than fifty years, but he would now like to sell it for health reasons.
