Tom Rasmussen from Horsens, Denmark sends this intriguing photo of an unidentified Convertible. Is it an existing model or a creative contraption based on pre-war components?
Tom writes:"The car in the photos was my my father's first car. Photos are taken in the beginning of the 1950's. The license plate tells me the car was registered in Bergen, Norway. Is it the result of several cars put together because of shortage of cars and parts after the war? It looks like a sedan rebuilt as a convertible."
Well Tom, you're probably right. The components look very american though we can't say for the moment what exactly. In general the readers are quicker than we are! So let's see what will come up.
UPDate by Kit Foster: The wondscreen, header, wipers and doors are 1936 Ford. The whole body looks like it's been sectioned (a customizing technique, that takes a horizontal "section" out of a body and puts the remaining pieces together - cut-and-shut as the Brits say). Front wings are more modern.
