A car sleuth postcard holiday: Hamburg, St.Pauli

Do you have this same twist when you stumble over old postcards that you want to take a walk in the area to check which nearly new cars were to be admired? This week we'll take you on a short tour in Europe; yet in miles it is something like 2000 miles. We start in Hamburg, then Rotterdam, then Tourcoing in France, then the ultra small country Andorra on the French Spanish border. And finally Rome. Above the St.Pauli harbourside landing bridge.

Parked in front a nice mix of fifties and sixties material plus a few pre-war automobiles. We recognise Volkswagen, Opel, Ford (Taunus), Mercedes, DKW, BMW, Borgward. The two identical blue cars seen from behind on the far right make us wonder. Well something to chew on for the drive to Rotterdam where we expect to meet you tomorrow. Now for you leave Hamburg, be sure to visit the fabulous collection at Thiesen 'Automobile Raritäten'.
