An Italian dashboard mystery ( Update: fifties Fiat or Peugeot 404 coupe?)

Yesterday we received the interesting question to which car this unidentified Veglia dashboard unit could have belonged. As you know we are fond of little mysteries. Still it should not be too hard to solve an issue as this dashboard is also adorned with the famous Touring badge. As the fuel gauge and recounter are not branded with a grande marque it is quite possible that it belongs to one of  the earlier 'Etceterinis'. Yet it may be from a lesser god as well due to the lack of a rev counter. Possibly that particular car also had the unidentified Nardi gearshift offered by the same party.  Maybe a car that is family with the Fiat 1200 TV ?
