Back to the future. Or forward to the past?

For foreigners like your editor driving through the UK always produces pleasant automotive surprises. We spotted this little car parked outside the pub. We didn’t have a clue as to what it was but fortunately the maker’s plate was on the front. We had never heard of this car before and to tell the truth, as Nissan introduced this retro-model in 1989, it’s also a bit out of scope for this magazine. Yet we liked its attractive lines. Some 20.000 were built, all right hand drive, and came complete with a cabriolet top, airco, and three speed automatic. Lots of them still seem to be around.
