British Cool

If you are a fan of all thing British than this is the right event for you: ‘Vintage at Goodwood’ organized this year for the first time. It celebrates five decades of British cool from the 1940s through to the 1980s. Vintage at Goodwood is about music, fashion, film, art, dance and design from the most culturally influential era of the 20th Century. Many of Britain’s most iconic cars of the 1960s will be on hand and in addition, touring caravans and camper vans of the 1940s-80s will be very much in evidence as part of the extensive Vintage at Goodwood camping area. This year’s event will see a special celebration of the 60th anniversary of the legendary Volkswagen Type 2 Transporter, more commonly know in Britain as the VW Camper Van, with conversions by UK-based camper companies such as Dormobile (pictured above) and Danbury (click!) proving to be immensely popular over the decades. Vintage at Goodwood will be held from August 13-15.
