Best headline: In 1960, Dauphine sales in the US took a dramatic nosedive.

After the 5cv Renault Dauphine introduction at the Geneva Motorshow it was presented at the New York show of 1956. It was an immediate yet short succes. In 1958 one could read in Time: "The car that has come up fastest in the US market in the past year is Renault's Dauphine. A snub-nosed 32-hp Sedan, it is low-priced, economical and small enough to shoehorn into a small parking space." Well it seems that's what we see above, or is it an early form of Right on Time Delivery? Anyway, we are looking forward to hear your brilliant view on  this photo. Last address of Ashton Damron Towing Co. was 8919 MT Elliott Detroit, MI 48211. While google maps still is showing Ashton Towing, the buildings seem deserted.
Post your caption before Friday under Comments below. Best headline will get the PostWarClassic dashplate. Winner should notify us and provide mail address through info&prewarcar.com (exchange & for @)
