From utter simplicity to sheer oppulancy – a dashboard can make or break a car. Wood veneer in a Willys Jeep is just about as ridiculous as a rev counter in a 2CV. Still, many of you like chrome-bezeled gauges, turned metal and Bakelite buttons. The dashboard seen here has it all. And the lady is happy to show it – the picture is believed to serve as a mock-up for the brochure. Her style is unmistakably American, with wool suit and matching hat, gloves, pumps, handbag and jewellery. So what about the car it’s all meant for? Let us know what you think it is. Oh, and now we have you wondering: what’s your favourite dashboard?

My favorite is the '57-'58 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham, because it tries to be a replica of the rear of the car, fins and all.
