The iconic E-type, by millions adored as the sexiest sportscar ever, is often found in dilapidated condition. Gone through the hands of many wheeler dealers and frequently serviced and 'restored 'in the back alleys by guys who want to make a quick buck. In many cases the sexy E slowly has changed in an old tart with heavy make-up. Hard to see this when you are at an auction or in a poor lit dealers showroom, but it happens every day... No matter its fame and name, the E-type is still a relatively affordable car due to the large production numbers. Yet slowly this picture is changing. More and more internationally oriented specialist restorers concentrate on bringing back the factory qualities and slick lines of the BB-age arrow from Coventry. The owners who have endeavoured such an operation only know too well that you should not think lightly about this. E-type restoration is extremely time & money consuming.
