Next week’s Mondial de l’Automobile de Paris (or Paris Motor Show as we say) has a nice theme: l’Automobile et la mode – the car and fashion. Think of it: the two are inseparately linked. It made us think of cars that have been badged with fashion labels. From Cadillac by Gucci to Alfasud by Valentino and from Matra Bagheera Courrèges to AMC Gremlin Levi’s. Fashion victims rather then fashionistas? Do not judge too quick - some brands fit surprisingly well together, so why not team up to enhance the image? 

The show displays no less then 50 cars, according to the organization “vehicles associated with the glory days of the Belle époque, to the stars of the concours d’élégance of the Twenties and Thirties and their legendary bodywork; from post-war icons to those of Pop Art years, not forgetting the Eighties and Nineties representing the ‘Performance years’.” The first car we had to think of was that little Renault 4 in Parisienne livery, seen above.
