“Well, yes, that’s the great thing about this car - it’s got a telephone.”

“Are you still there, darling?”

“Yes, yes. So you say you are sitting in your car and making a telephone call from it?”

“That’s right”

“Wow. That’s amazing”

“Incredible, isn’t it? I just spoke to Hannah, too, and to Jenifer, and Barbara. All with this car phone. Samantha told me Paul is thinking of buying one, too”

“Are you still there, sweetie?”
“Yes, yes, I just don’t know what to say”

“It’s got airconditioning too. And the colour is really gorgeous.”

“What’s actually the reason for calling?”

“Well, love, I was just wondering if you could pick me up. I was so excited that I rang all my friends, and now the car won’t start anymore. I don’t understand…”
