You know it’s ‘Essen’ this weekend. But it’s not the only classic car show in Germany right now. In Stuttgart, Retro Classics takes places for the 17th year, right in the same weekend. And they say they are bigger and better.
Well… according to the organizers not Techno Classica Essen but this show is ‘World's greatest classic car exhibition’. We believe they must come up with this quote by looking at the possibility to increase the number of square meters in use. They have added an extra hall at the Stuttgart Messe to the show, which ‘now increases the total exhibition space of the world’s greatest classic car exhibition again to 140.000 square metres.” In other words: ‘Eat your heart out Essen!’. From the Techno Classica press information: “Exhibition area: 120.000 m2 divided into 21 halls and 4 open air areas.”
We thought it were the Americans bragging about sizes mostly! So, yes, they are bigger. But are they better? We’re sad to say we cannot confirm this as we have never visited the Stuttgart Retro Classics show ourselves. Have you?
