Farewell to a Mexico brown Brit. (update: oh irony !)

Two weeks ago your editor's Rover P6 broke its right hip when taking a short left turn. The car produced a loud Bang! and then went through its knees and could not move any more. After the 'AA' transport to a garage the car was inspected and it appeared the rear axle had collapsed due to corrosion. The investment to make it going again is way beyond the value of the car. So we had to take the bitter decision this is the end, at least for us. A new caretaker is most welcome and he or she will have all the benefits of the recent repairs and improvements we did. With us the good memories remain. Nearly three winter seasons of a happy murmling with an equally stylish & understated Brit. See the short notes we made int recent and more distant past.


editor: see comment of Vintage below. Yes you are 100% right. Yet as room and means are not available to do the job required I will pass on the car to a next enthusiast.
