Ferraris against cancer

Not as famous as other circuit events celebrated in Europe, but the "Sport et Collection 500 Ferrari Contre le Cancer" reunites an ever growing number of significant cars every year. Perhaps the racing weekend is not taken as seriously as others, but the truth is that it's not easy to find another meeting with so many good Ferraris of all periods. Anything from the 'vintage' 212 through the inevitable F40, 250 GTO, and more up to latest pure racing 626 TRC. Can you imagine the sound and smell of all this galopping heard testing the track? And there was more. Much more. Between hundreds of diverse Italian machines we spotted arguably the toughest competitor of Ferrari of the sixties quietly parked between in sheer arrogance...: the white Porsche 906.

One for all and all for one good cause: the battle against cancer at the Circuit du Val de Vienne.  For more photos of this event that is on its way to growing into a "must see" on the classic sports calendar, check this page. (photography Unai Ona; text Francisco Carríon)
