Not every European country may think the same, but the Americans still cherish the Germans with their German-American Day. Why? There are some 46 million Americans with German background. Donald Trump is one of them. Last year he said “My grandparents didn't come to America all the way from Germany to see it get taken over by immigrants.” Oh, irony. Yesterday was another German-American Day, as the day is celebrated on October 6 every year since then-President Ronald Reagan ‘called on Americans to observe the Day with appropriate ceremonies and activities’. We found it a beautiful opportunity to dish out this photograph of perhaps the most American of all German cars: the BMW 507. We asked ourselves: what would you consider to be an appropriate activity for next year?
