Getting better at the Volkswagen T1 bus hunt

Last week we reported how our RECCE of the Via Hellenica "degenerated" in the hunt for Volkswagen T1 and T2 busses. After having found 15 of them the first week the count mounted to some 25 before we discovered the Walhalla for anyone interested in Volkswagen transporters (first 3 pictures). We carried on and while talking to some Greek friends heard about a T1-window bus which had been offered for sale for € 500,- by a farmer. Needless to say he got overwhelmed by telephone calls. We found some restored buses and finally found a T1-window bus. Greece is full of old cars. But it gets increasingly hard to find the pearl everybody is looking for.
