InterClassics Maastricht 2024 in pictures

The cold days and nights have arrived in our part of Europe, complete with early evenings and salty roads, so instead of driving our old cars, we've made our way to the indoor InterClassics Maastricht car show, where it's warm inside and there's plenty to see to please our hearts and minds.

As usual, the show marks the start of the classic car year, with this year's theme, as we've reported before, being 120 Years of Ford Performance. That "120 years" is to be taken with a pinch of salt but the execution is good nonetheless. To organise such an exhibition requires collaboration from both Ford of Europe and private collectors. With their help, a selection of landmark sports and racing Fords has been put together, comprising numerous pre- and post-war cars.

PreWarCar.com and PostWarClassic.com are, of course, also present at stand N.746, with a trio of Fords, which, although not original factory models, represent the many aspects of Ford's history of performance. From England, Tobias Ballard has come with his Model A Ford, and his now-famous Model A straight-eight Twin Engine Special on the trailer. A true work of art on wheels, it has been built in the style of the early hot-rods which had such a profound influence on Ford's development. Alongside it is a replica of the 1896 Ford Quadricyle, built very much in the spirit of Henry Ford by an 18-year-old Dutch enthusiast working in the garage behind his house. He spent hours studying old photos and videos and built this reproduction based on them. It's perfectly functional, too—we took it for a spin on Wednesday upon its arrival!
In addition, Vintage & Prestige has joined us with a Gulf-liveried Tornado GT40. It faithfully replicates the John Wyer Automotive GT40s which were victorious at the 1968 and 1969 24 Hours of Le Mans, among other major sports-car races, and which have also been selected as the poster car of the show.

There's plenty to see at the InterClassics Maastricht 2024 show, which can be visited until Sunday at 6.00 p.m. Ordering tickets online (click here) gives a nice discount, so we hope to see you there. See you later!

You can see very few visitors, which must depend on the time you took the photos.
Are you allowed to say how many visitors there were?
Thank you
Best regards

Bonjour Henri,

Yes, you are right. I took most of the photos in the morning, before the event was open to the public. It was very, very busy and, from what I heard for most sellers, a successful show.
Exact numbers are not yet known but I'll let you know when I hear from the organisation.

Regards, Laurens Klein
