Last picnic of the year?!

On the northern hemisphere  winter is knocking on the door. It's getting colder nearly on a daily basis and night will fall early. The moment to chop wood and clean out the stove. But maybe - before you tuck away your beloved car in the workshop - it is a good idea to plan a last picnic. There are always a few beautiful days at the end of autumn, so why not use those to the best? On the picture above we can see some people having a lovely afternoon. What cars do we see. A Citroen DS, Ford Falcon, Renault 8? Any other identification?

The location is a picnic area across a pond called Ingar Creek some 150 miles north east of Canberra, Australia.  The Ingar picnic area was developed in 1960-61 by Blue Mountains National Park Trustees around a fire fighting dam constructed by the Bushfire Management Council of NSW. The locality was named by Myles Dunphy (1891-1985) after the Aboriginal name for crayfish.

We just wonder when the first cars arrived in this area.
