The Mille Miglia 2023: an Italian holiday like no other

From 13th to 17th June, the Mille Miglia, known to many as the most beautiful race in the world, will take place for 2023. Although the weather isn't as bright as one might expect in Italy at this time of year, visitors to the start line at Brescia will still be able to take in lots of vibrant colours and sparkling chrome. This year's event is taking place over an extra day and the route has been made longer still, so it will be even more of a test of the abilities and endurance of the cars and drivers.

Schedule

Tuesday 13 June | Brescia - Milano Marittima

After departing at 12.30 p.m. from Viale Venezia in Brescia and skirting the shores of Lake Garda, then passing through Verona, Ferrara, Lugo and Imola, the procession of cars will reach the end of the first leg at Cervia and Milano Marittima.

Wednesday 14 June | Milano Marittima - Roma

The second day will feature a winding passage through San Marino and Senigallia, the lunch stop at Macerata, then head through Fermo and Ascoli Piceno before making a grand parade into Rome along the Via Veneto.

Thursday 15 June | Roma - Parma

The third leg will ascend from Italy's ancient capital, stopping for lunch in Siena, the spectacular capital of Tuscany. It will continue to Pistoia, meander along the majestic Abetone Pass, reach Modena, the famous home of Ferrari and Maserati, and finally pass through Reggio Emilia to reach the finish in Parma.

Friday 16 June | Parma - Milano

On the fourth day, after Stradella and Pavia, the race will reach Piedmont and break for lunch in Alessandria. From there, it will visit Asti and Vercelli and, taking in Novara, it will head onwards to downtown Milan, which will host the last night of the race.

Saturday 17 June | Milano - Brescia

On the fifth day, after saying goodbye to Bergamo, Brescia’s twin city as the Italian Capital of Culture 2023, the 1000 Miglia 2023 will culminate back in Brescia in the late morning, with the cars performing a lap of the city before gathering once again on the Viale Venezia, where the cars will remain on display while the participants enjoy one last celebratory lunch.

The PreWarCar.com team will be at the start to wave the cars off on this legendary challenge, soaked in history and steeped in legends. We'll be armed with our camera, too, so we'll be bringing some of the romance and glory to back with us to share with you.
