Mega rally for Micro cars: Liège-Brescia-Liège

This event is not a new crazy idea invented by the Seen-it Done-it Been-there generation. This rally for humble sports cars & saloons dates back to 1958, when "54 pioneers in 27 tiny cars set out from Liège in Belgium in a brave attempt to prove that the new breed of tiny-engined cars, made popular by the Suez crisis two years earlier, were not just toys but could do everything their bigger sisters could do – and much more economically. Just 13 of the 27 starters made it..." We are not going to explain once more what the organisers do much better. To cut things short. After a very succesfull reenactment in 2008, next year will see another test for the better micro's of this world. Eligible are a quite minimal 250 cc up to a mighty 700 CC. Check your calendar for 2011, July 15-24. I bought a fine group of rally badges and plaques today and this little beauty was amongst it!
