Youph van Leeuwen found this 'Bimmer' badged project recently at a Dutch breaker's yard and priced at near scrap value. Then why post the car here at PostWar Classic? As there are no bargains in Bimmer country, when you find one the first you need to do is establish the identity of the car and chances. Most of the cheapo BMWs around are EMWs with a BMW badge. In this case this looks a late-forties EMW 321, but did EMW make a cabriolet version of the 321? If not this may be a true BMW after all. Youph reports the car has no real rust issues and is complete with exception of all interior items. No seats, no gauges, nothing. But, engine and gearbox are there and don't look disturbed. There are eastern European papers with the car. What do you think, should we pick up the car?
