Only allowed outside with snow?

Spotting more than one Mini per day in the streets of UK isn't  very usual, but then when it´s snowing hard.. When the cold, the snow and the ice make it difficult to drive even with a modern car, the owners of the "Monte Carlo Style" Minis take their cars off the garages and use them heavily. Perhaps this is not the reality, but the fact is that the snow covered totally Edinburgh last Sunday, and the next day one of our ''classic scouts' spotted two different Minis both prepared for full winter rallying.
The first one was covered by snow and had several "Monte Carlo" features, but wasn´t a real first series Mini. The absence of the door hinges is a big miss, but this Mini was really prepared for snow adventures, including supports for skis in the roof. The second one was parked "safely" indoor, but had signs of having being used in snow. This second Mini was a true classic (tuned by "The Mini Works") with many subtle rally features  like the grill mounted registration plate. And probably not too many people would use it in snowy conditions... but is there a better way to revive the days on Mini heroes like Paddy Hopkirk or Timo Mäkinen?
