Pink Panther: another strike?

Apart from the movies about the clumsy French detective, there was also a television series, aired in the United States on NBC from 1969 until 1976. This one-of-a-kind automobile, known as the Panthermobile, was especially created in 1969 for the popular Pink Panther Show by Jay Ohrberg. Jay was a Hollywood’s master vehicle designer, best known for having produced the world’s most coveted movie and television vehicles including Knight Rider K.I.T.T., Back To The Future DeLorean, 1966 Batman Batmobile, 1989 Batman Batmobile, Dukes of Hazzard General Lee, Starsky & Hutch Ford Gran Torino and even the Flintstones cars.
The Panthermobile will be offered for sale via an online auction starting on Sunday 4th by auctioneers Robson Kay and ends Friday 14th October. But if the Panthermobile isn’t weird enough for you, you might also consider having a look at the Phantasmagorical replica of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!
