Although the founder of the company started pre-war with the manufacture of piston-rings, after World War II he became famous by starting the production of motorcycles and mopeds. Especially the mopeds, because when you had one, you were bound to meet the nicest people. Car production started with a tiny pick-up truck in 1963, but was soon followed by a sports car that still has quite a following.
