Auto Moto D'Epoca closed yesterday night and was another succes grandissima. It is the show of the year of Italy attracting large crowds of visitors from all over Europe. Here you will find anything Italian. It is merely a matter what you want to find. 'Via Flaminia' organiser Bart Kleyn was taken away by the fabulous prototypes that were presented at various stands. The TURBOT or Trubotraction II by Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, that was inspired on the 1954 Ford FX Atmos. Of roughly 10 year more recent date is the Giulia SS prototype that makes your heart weep so beautiful it is. The car doesn't look like a protype at all. It is so brilliantly balanced that in a stilistic point of view it would have been a Maserati and Ferrari eater. Bertone bravo !!! Again 10 years later a prototype that really grew into a car. The forerunner of the Fiat X1/9. (also of the Lancia Monter Carlo maybe). See the uncompromisingly wedge shaped rear engined car and don't overlook the modular headlight left and right of the cockpit! If you missed this year's edition, it's worth to consider it for next year.
