The Kleinwagen Mystery (Upd. Brütsch/Spatz ?)

Erik Verhaest from France saw this photo on eBay and just had to have it. Only one problem… what kind of car is it? We don’t think it’s a homemade special as it looks too well made. The car reminds us of an early Kleinschnittger Kleinwagen, but that may be barking up the wrong tree. When we enlarged the photo we saw the letters D.R.D. (?) on the front, but we have no clue as to what these stand for. The logo also has a small bird in it. The licence plate looks Austrian to us, maybe that helps in identifying this nice little roadster?
