The Dodge Plymouth Desoto Mystery (UPDATE: 1954 Plymouth Plaza Business Coupe "Imperial")

Recently we were sent this photograph of an interesting car, probably copied from an old car magazine. No date was given, but we hazard a guess at 1953. The comment with the photo states that it is a Plymouth Dodge Kingsway or Desoto Diplomat Business coupe especially made for export. What makes it special is the trunk that has been replaced by a pull-out drawer, covered by a roll-up tarpaulin. Must be quite handy if you are a travelling salesman. We have never seen this version before, but we do know that the name ‘Kingsway’ was used by the Canadian branch of the Chrysler Corporation. Apart from that we have no further information about this model. Can you enlighten us?
