Three tarps, three million at "La Vie en Bleu"

Three Million under wraps! Seen at the seventh annual “La Vie en Bleu” hosted and organised by the Bugatti Owners Club at their HQ the hill climb course at Prescott near Cheltenham. Three Bugatti Veyron were displayed by Jack Barclay the UK sales and service dealer, and one was very effectively demonstrated on the hill during the weekend, but only after it had been unwrapped! Also demonstrated was the ex-Nelson Piquet Benetton B190 F1 car, the glorious sound of the Cosworth V8 on full song will live long with all those who witnessed its runs! On the hill and in competition proper there were not just French marques like Matra, Renault Alpine and Peugeot Sport, but also Austin-Healeys, TVRs, Aston Martin, Porsche and the 500 Owners Association with their as always hugely entertaining single seaters. Not only was this an action packed day of demonstration and competition Club stands were a feast of French motoring icons by Renault (Club Alpine Renault, Renault Owners Club), Peugeot, Citroen (TOC, CCC and 2CVGB combined) and many more. Trade stands, side shows, Velo-Solex, and the back by demand (!) can-can girls completed a superb weekend in the sunshine. If you missed it, then make sure to make a date to be there next year!
