Totally reckless – but oh so entertaining…

And… once more we found some great film footage from a French folly! How about a several minutes long wild street chase scene between a humble and dented Fiat 124 and least as tired and very smoky – a diesel no doubt – 1960s Opel Rekord, driven by Jean-Paul Belmondo and Omar Sharif (well, by their stunt doubles no doubt). This all in the streets of Athens, with plenty of spectators. Wow! The driving is totally reckless and the cars themselves form a great break from the Mustangs and other muscle cars seen so often in this kind of scene. Eat your heart out Bullit! The footage is from the movie ‘La Casse’ of 1971. Enjoy.
