There are just two days to go before the Via Iberica Classic arrives in Santiago de Compostela. After leaving Valencia some 10 days of driving ago and travelling along some of the most fantastic roads, the 28 classic cars will have covered 2100 km.
The competition is fierce towards the front of the pack, with the Rover P6 3500 of Pieck van Hoven and Thea van Gelderen being in the lead at the moment. However, it is not the competition which is attracting the crew to the Via Iberica but the wonderful roads, the dramatic landscapes of the lesser-known parts of Spain and Portugal and the sheer joy of motoring.
The scenery may be corn fields, cork trees and olive trees one minute, then cliffs and high mountain roads the next. Let's not forget the wonderful accommodation, either.
Enjoy the photos!
Thank you.
