A mystery chassis to start the New Year

On the verge of the new year, reader F. Jonker of The Netherlands sent us a picture with a quest. It's a rather simple and straghtforward quest: "I am looking for information about this car". That may not be much, but perhaps it's just enough for one of you?
Reader Jonker makes no mention whatsoever about the red hulk of iron that we see on the iamge attached. What is it? A rolling chassis, that's for sure, and it appears to be of a rather big car. The several holes drilled in the front suspension, and no doubt elsewhere too, appear to indicate someone attempted to make this big thing try to make at least slightly lighter. Was it meant for racing purposes? Or just to compensate for the heavy steel used?
When you do know more, please leave a comment below, as we are sure mister Jonker will appreciate it and have a good start for 2019. Please keep us posted on your interesting project though!

Looks to me like a vintage/PVT chassis with a home-made IFS conversion? You can see where the dumb-irons have been boxed in and faired up, the straight parallel front chassis rails would also suggest a previous, beam axle and leaf springs incarnation?
