Where is Opel’s church?
A few years ago, at around the same time of year, we had some fun trying to decipher the settings of a few photographs here at PostWarClassic.com. You liked the idea, or so it seemed, and quickly cracked the snowy puzzle places of this Alfa Duetto, this Tatra, this Lancia Flaminia, this Skoda, and even this early Lamborghini Countach on a test drive.
Opel Olympia Rekord
So why not revive the idea once more? This public relations shot of Opel shows an Olympia Rekord of the mid-1950s in a particularly romantic setting. It could well be used as a Christmas card!
But we wonder now: is there anyone who recognizes the backdrop used for this publicity shot in an almost M.R. James-like setting? The little church with its gated cemetery and pretty entrance may well be known to some of you. Surely its German or Austrian? Suggestions in the comments below, please.

How did the car get there without leaving tracks? Is this a photograph or is it some form of trickery? Does the church exist or is it a model?

The first letter of the number plate reads like a B.
In the US-zone in Bayern, as from 1950, the number plates had a B as first letter and then the numbers.
So the church could be in Bayern (with its traditional onion dome)
