In 2005, Saleen launched the Twin Turbo model of the S7, the American-made mid-engine supercar. Utilizing the same all-aluminum engine block as the standard car, the Twin Turbo gained two Garrett turbochargers, producing 5.5 psi of boost and increasing the power output to an eye-watering 750 horsepower at 6,300 rpm, with maximum torque rated at 700 pound-feet at 4,800 rpm. The engine was kept cool thanks to the carbon fiber front intake, directing air into twin front-mounted aluminum radiators. The S7 Twin Turbo featured Saleen’s PowerFlash computer-controlled engine management system, with integrated coil-on-plug ignition.
The front and rear diffusers, along with the rear spoiler, were revised to increase the downforce by 60 percent. Mated to the engine is a six-speed manual transmission that carries power to the rear wheels via a limited-slip differential. The 0–60 mph time was estimated to be 2.7 seconds with a top speed of 248 mph. Only 30 examples of the S7 Twin Turbo were produced between 2005 to 2006.
The front and rear suspension features unequal-length double wishbones, lightweight aluminum shock absorbers with coil-over springs, and CNC-machined billet aluminum flow-through uprights. The brakes are built using Saleen-designed six-piston calipers, with 15-inch front and 14-inch rear ventilated brake discs; lightweight aluminum disc bells improve heat displacement to avoid warping at high temperatures. Mounted to the hubs are alloy wheels measuring 19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear.
This Saleen S7, a Twin Turbo example built in 2005, is among the finest extant with under 1,000 miles showing on the odometer at the time of cataloguing. As confirmed by the window sticker on file, the vehicle was optioned from the factory with polished alloy wheels, a GPS navigation system, and to ensure complete protection, the car was also selected to travel in enclosed transport to its dealer. In addition to being one of 30 Twin Turbo examples built from 2005–2006, it is additionally one of 19 total Saleen S7s finished in the attractive color of Lizstick Red. The vehicle will be accompanied by an owner’s manual, seat pads, and a three-piece branded luggage set.
This S7 Twin Turbo presents an excellent opportunity to acquire one of Saleen’s first proprietary turbocharged vehicles. From its striking aerodynamic design to its modern amenity-laden interior, the S7 Twin Turbo is by all accounts an all-American supercar—and a blisteringly fast example at that.To view this car and others currently consigned to this auction, please visit the RM website at
