1984 Mercedes-Benz 190 E Schulz-Getzke Widebody | Global Icons: The Patina Collective
Chassis No. WDB2010241A037653
Manufactured in November 1983, this Mercedes-Benz 190 E was originally finished Russet Brown with a Beige interior and was lightly appointed with the four-speed manual transmission and sliding sunroof- the ideal candidate for an expert widebody transformation such as one offered by Schulz-Getzke.
This car has since been fitted with Schulz-Getzke's striking widebody kit and is now presented in silver with a black leather interior. Its appearance is further enhanced with an SEC-style hood and grille, 15-inch BBS multi-piece wheels shod in BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires, trunk mounted wing, and roof lip spoiler. Other appointments include air conditioning, sunroof, power windows, and a MOMO wooden steering wheel.
Originally delivered to Munich, it was subsequently registered in Norway in January 1985 and remained there until approximately 2007 according to its Norwegian Road Administration Vehicle Card. It was acquired by the Patina Collective in 2025, entering an unparalleled collection of fellow unique Mercedes in Florida. This expertly enhanced 1984 Mercedes-Benz 190 E is now offered with its owner's manual, warning triangle, and first aid kit.
This is a compelling representative of an era where German tuning firms transcended their aftermarket roots to become the coachbuilders of choice for the new generation of German luxury cars, with Schulz-Getzke at the forefront. Transformed through its rare Schulz-Getzke widebody conversion, striking new color combination, and carefully selected period-inspired modifications, this example is equally enjoyable in its current form or serving as a foundation for a period correct AMG V8 conversion-such as one similar to what Schulz-Getzke themselves popularized.
Please note that while the seller has confirmed this car was started and able to idle, it has been in static storage for an extended period and should receive additional mechanical servicing prior to road use.
